Battlefield Dad still isn't into BF6... (1)

The other day while playing Battlefield 6 with the boys...

We played a match on... what's it called again... Railroad to... Railroad to the Madhouse, i’ll just stick with that name for now.. so what happened?

Little Bird pilot was farming 60-0 in the first half of the match, impressive... right? Talking About aircrafts in bf6 today, well...

I read online the ever-popular “git gud” or how super hard it is to play with helicopters and jets because the maps are way too small and the anti-air is way too powerful. To point out the inherent contradiction in these statements right away: if you say flying helicopters or jets is too hard because the maps are too small, maybe you just can’t do it… so that leaves only the claim that anti-air is way too powerful. One thing is true: anti-air can be very powerful when a not-insignificant number of players sets out to clear the skies… and how often does that happen? Because it’s almost impossible to do alone, and even with a squad, it takes a huge amount of luck to land effective hits without getting taken out yourself. After all, you’re not standing under an indestructible glass dome, all the other threats are ever-present: highping 100% headshot sniper demons from the other end of the world, hopping and sliding COD aimbot kids or even just the second enemy helicopter or jet, and so on.

In the end, it doesn't really matter whether someone is just a very good helicopter pilot or not, or whether he's simply taking advantage of how overpowered the Little Birds are in particular—but the majority of BF6 players have noticed that the developers need to do something about it: balance the game!

Because this (i’ll call it the “Little Bird problem”)will either lead to everyone relying solely on helicopters from now on, or conversely, to hardly anyone wanting to play maps where they’re available anymore ...and both of these possible outcomes are extremely problematic.

Battlefield was never helicopter-only, but it’s increasingly becoming infantry-only. So if large maps are played almost exclusively with helicopters (or hardly at all) the developers will draw further conclusions from this and make BF even more like COD than it already is.

But I don’t just want to criticise the bad aspects; I’d also like to suggest some improvements: a player should only be allowed to spend a set amount of time in a particular type of vehicle (e.g. 10 minutes) and must then take a break (e.g. 20 minutes) before they can use the same vehicle again. And this sort of cooldown system would then apply to both land and air vehicles. This would put a stop to pure kill farming, and vehicles might then be used more tactically – that is, in a way that better serves the team!

Well, that's my opinion...  battlefield-dad out!
