BF6 - Shoulder Fired AA - My Current Stats, Broken?
Is the shoulder-fired AA rocket really this awful? I lock on, try to bait flare. When the pilot is good and doesn't pop on lock-on, I shoot a missile to engage the flare. I then have 3-4 other rockets to attempt to bring the aircraft down.
Here are my stats on the AA rocket:
Time Played: 37m (yikes) Kills: 13 Kills/Min: .35 Multi-Kill: 5 Uses: 94
From my experience, this thing is awful. It has shown miss right after firing, it has blown up a good bit away from the target, it has completely flown right by the target with a wide-open shot, it seems to blow up on target and then miss, but flares popped after the explosion.
Assuming the five multikill is 10 people, that's five missiles. That leaves three other kills at three rockets. We will call this a hit rate of 8 out of 94, or 7.5%.
There is no way this can be the intended outcome of these rockets, right?
Then there is the AA tank, which is worthless. The rockets are so slow that the lock-on, then fire, has the same miss problem as the shoulder-fired one, but you only get two missiles, and they always have time to outrun the lock-on for the second rocket.
I am not saying it should hit every time, but **bleep**. Give me something.
