BF6 already walking back claims about cosmetics being "grounded"

Some quotes that the BF6 devs seem to be walking back regarding cosmetics. I had a feeling EA wasn't being truthful. Seems like anyone who wanted to purchase a military shooter that looked like a military shooter will be disappointed yet again.

If they're teasing this rainbow looking crap pre-release, we all know what it will look like a few months post release with paid cosmetics. Art style is important to a game.

No server browser, lame tiny Conquest maps with 1 tank and 1 IFV per map (or no vehicles!), and rainbow colored guns that appeal to 10 year olds - not sure what the developers are thinking. I was hoping for something better than CoD.

At least give us an option to disable the cartoon skins in the menu.

If the developers really want more money I would rather go back to Premium like BF3 & BF4 had. We got more maps and the games looked military themed. If you don't want to break the player base up, just sell new guns and make the maps free. Put around 40-50 guns in for the main game and sell another 40-60 for $30 or so. Map the maps available to everyone. As long as they're balanced there won't be issues.

I agree with the skins, especially the first gun looks like from the toy store. But, to be fair, some of the skins offered as a reward  in BF2042 for BF6 like the character costumes are actually nice and grounded.

  • Won't be long before we get a certain "artist" with a pink plastic onesie and high heels.
The gun metal with the gold accents was enough, we don't need the cammo'.

Given their track record, can you really trust a wolf in sheep’s clothing? These profit driven pigs wouldn’t hesitate to sell you ingame bullets if they could.

That is what I do worry about. I wouldn't mind if we had the option to turn it off, but I suspect we'll see future soldiers and Beavis/Butthead in BF6 a few months post launch.

The lame Conquest maps and lack of a server browser were had enough. My interest in pre-ordering dropped significantly.

It will only become more flamboyant, even though the engraving gives you no tactical advantage whatsoever.
