I have to say I have pretty much now had all my friends I was playing this game with now quit BF6. In short this is what happens every single time we engage
- We come across an enemy player looking the other way.
- One of us approaches gets close enough and lines up with them with a gun (doesn't matter which gun LMG / Assault Rifle / SMG).
- They open fire delivering 30+ shots on target hit markers everywhere.
- The enemy player literally laughs at them turns around and then laser beams more often than not an inferior weapon at them (SMG / Pistol sometime).
- Friend dies.
To be clear it doesn't matter if the friend aims for the head, the limbs or the centre mass. It happens exactly as above.
This pattern is exactly why this game will die very quickly unless you sort this out. This mechanic is just garbage I really don't see why you changed everything to result in the above scenario playing out nearly every time.
What's worse is the inconsistency in the weapons. I have played games where I have picked up for example the UMP and I have gone around and for some reason the gun that particular game (same build used consistently) has been a beast and has melted 5-6 people very quickly from the offset. Other games I come in and it does absolutely nothing to people and I have lost every fight with it.
Now like I said most of my friends have just given up with the game but if you want anyone to be interested in this game in a couple of months this has to be fixed. Even BF2042 wasn't this terrible.

Look, I know the netcode has issues, but I really question people writing hyperbolic stuff like this.

Its not hyperbolic if it happens frequently to everyone who plays the game. If I could upload videos here I would post loads of them demonstrating exactly this scenario playing out over and over again.
I am not confident that its the net code, because this didn't happen before the most recent June patch. So if anything signs point to the weapon and damage changes.
