Sadly the franchise we all have been a part of building for over 20 years has moved on the next generation who was fast based small map games with unique skins and attachments and are willing to pay hundreds of dollars a quarter for it. The days of buying a game, playing it, downloading a mod pack like desert combat, or forgotten hope are long over. What we are seeing is just a cash grab until the next big thing comes out and social media moves on. Just looking at the Twitch numbers with the current REDSEC promo the numbers are lower than expected. I do have some shares in EA and I would expect that there will be conversations going on next week. Not the ones the community will want to hear. More based around why are numbers lower than forecasted? How do we position product to beat COD? The answers I see coming are more cosmetics, quicker game modes with rewards. This is all just a test since the last several BF titles have not been the level of success the bean counters demanded, and at the end of the day the bean counters always win.
