The game feels more like BF3 Close Quarters or BF Hardline than a real good old BF2. I did like BF3CQ and BFH so I don't really mind that the maps are smaller and such, but what annoys me are the hero sort of skins and all that. What made the previous good BF games good, was that you always knew exactly how your enemy looked like and what language or accent they had spoken in combat. You had actual existing IRL armies and not this made up bullcrap conflict. Why they can't just make it USMC vs Russia or China or Middle East again? It was so good, it was exactly how it should have been and they ruined the formula, probably because of political reasons. They completely broke the core gameplay, you always have to know how your enemy looks like. It's just stupid having these ppl in jeans and casual clothing in the game, all these sort of "buddy movie" kind of personalities with their little personal traits and all, this is what ruins the game. The game should be two armies of grunts without any names or faces, all they do is yell battle relevant stuff and typcial USMC or whatever real army slang on the BF and not some Pax Armata made up non sense.
Make the Battlefield games good again!
Edit: What they could do is add a "Generic Army Mode" where you can play every game mode, but all the cosmetics are turned off clientside, so the ppl that want to use skins can still do that, but ppl aren't forced to see them. Because in "Generic Army Mode" all soldiers look like classical male grunts from previous BF games like BF3 and 4. I would play the game non stop if there was a mode like that. But hey they don't seem to care about the core anymore.
