BF6 maps feel like COD maps. Not even close to BF4 maps.
To Battlefield Maps where very large and there is multiple ways you could attack it was a 3D space even with the most narrow maps. Then you compare that to the battlefield 6 Maps where they're all just very narrow They're very few approaches if you're talking about The Iberian offensive or Liberation Peak or the SoBek city it's just there's no real flanking answer you get option one is straightforward on the Narrow Street or take a helicopter does your options because if not that there's no under flank there's no tunnel there's no zipline even. Compare that to Battlefield 4 maps you have Sky Scrapers and Dams that collapse that completely change the entire approach. For vehicles you have boats! there isn't even a single boat in BF6. The most fun map of course is Operation Firestorm which has multiple Avenues of approach and dynamic where you have Urban fighting on one point then open fighting in another point you've got the ability to climb into the factory steel, you have the ability to flank around the desert but all the other maps all the new maps are restricted, Literally by out of bounds! I think the closest thing to a battlefield 6 map that is new is maybe the Mirak Valley and it has the crane and the E point that is out of the way.
My least favorite are Sobek city and Liberation Peak. So Liberation Peak has so few approaches and they are always out of bounds if you want to get a flank so you're two options are go through the narrow pass and get absolutely run over blown up it doesn't matter what you have there's landmines there's everything and that would be fine if there was two other approaches maybe a tunnel through the mountain or a zip line or something on the cliff where you could take a high point but that doesn't exist the other option is to go through the town. Its just a helicopter airplane map where they can run straight runs on you and dip into the valley which your stinger muscles for some reason can't lock on to them so basically you're just cannon fodder for any salt there's no way around it and especially once all the buildings are destroyed there's nowhere to hide you're just getting shot in the face it's a frontal attack of a Mountainside it's not fun if there was a point maybe in a hanger underground or if there was a series of tunnels that led you to the points you didn't have to crawl over land but instead the only way over is through a helicopter and if you get a bad pilot which is 90% of highlights and you're not going to get across they even if you do get a cross your survival rate goes down significantly and there's no way to take a point is that immediate repercussions from an airplane or vehicle or a squad just respawning on it.
Sobek City is my least favorite of all the maps because if there's one pilot that drops off a bunch of snipers on the rooftops there's no way up I was thought that we were going to have sledgehammers and C4 and we're going to be able to go anywhere the enemy could go but you didn't say that there was no way up there except for a helicopter and you could say well there's one building that has a zip line that takes you to the very top yeah and that's on one side who also gets the helicopter so if you are pilot in the very start of the game crashes the helicopter which is most of them then you're no way of counteracting this snipers and even if you were able to do that you have to spend the rest of the game just walking through narrow fields in urban combat there's no flank around the hill that is very much in the way and also if there was it's very frustrating it's always out of bounds.I've never spent so much BF Time out of bounds just trying to get around the enemy. This is an easy fix just open up the out-of-bounds another 100 ft or 100 m in every direction and then you have more opportunity also it's a construction site with a series of snipers just give us a tunnel just give us some way of getting around the map or I'm not exposed in a narrow Valley to the lucky team that got the skyscrapers all the way up why did the stairways end why can't we climb all the way up why can't we bring them down why can't we just destroy the skyscraper in the middle of the map that makes sense because we all got to fight over this one skyscraper but no it's on the one side of the one team so the other team is completely screwed because the enemy team just gets the parachute off the skyscraper to every open point where is the team starting on the South Side just has to run everywhere.
Empire State Is very frustrating because it's a good map that's how I imagined an urban map and Battlefield looks like there's multiple roads there's multiple ways through the buildings but then you put the bridge over top and you don't incorporate it it's completely locked out it's I understand if there's no point up there but to completely out of bounds the very high advantage point that is that like what? Why?
These Maps feel like large Call of Duty maps where you have three Avenues of Approach at best and then somebody pushed vehicles into them.
Comparing the battlefield 6 maps to Battlefield 4 maps it's not even comparable because Battlefield 4 maps have Flood Zone. a map where you can not or do destroy a **bleep** that floods the city and ultimately completely changes the Warfare of the map with a very large Center standing building that you can only get to Via helicopter that makes it extremely difficult for both teams to take over but doesn't provide such an advantage that you can't also still win.
Operation Locker has more avenues of approach than Liberation peak.
Rogue Transmission Absolutely incredible map has utility for tanks aircraft and if you don't want to have to fight with constant hits from helicopters you can go under the radar and then you can change them out by blowing up the cables it was glorious name one Battlefield 6 map that comes close to Road Transmission or Zavod 311.
I would apricate more dynamic maps with space and not so much urban warfare. When you make a map i want you to think. "How many ways can i get around a strong enemy position" and if its not more than 4 then it needs to change.
Liberation point: "How many ways can i get around the enemy position?
1. take a helicopter.
2. Take the flank through the narrow uphill pass.
3. Go through the city.
In summary you have 3 options = bad map.
Easy fix. just add a tunnel system or a cliffside stairway and open the out of bounds.
