It’s clear they are already working on a new Battlefield title, and BF 6 is being left with a skeleton crew. It will likely be another mismanaged title, just like BF V and 2042—though in 2042's case, the core gameplay itself was bad, not just the mismanagement. Look at how slowly bugs are fixed; when they patch one, they add ten more. There were game-breaking bugs that took two months to fix.
For hell's sake, give proper mapping tools to the community! Within a week, you’d see all the old BF maps back in the game, along with plenty of maps from other titles.
As I’ve stated before, they already have several old maps on this engine. I don’t see the problem with porting them over from 2042 Portal to this game, but oh well.
When I played those crappy customised maps which in not sure is because of the creators skills or because you can only use the assets that are in the tool they give you too create the custom maps, I started getting amazing ideas of how to update the 2042 maps, specifically the one with the sky scraper where the first thing I tried was to see if the roof would work in the original game so I could get a great sniper location on the roof and was surprised it did work, that was a great unobstructed view for the sniper to complete hes greater then 125 metre head shot challenge. But I thought to myself, how about we add extra ways of gaining across to the building just incase they have the elevator and stairs covered by a machine gunner, how about we add grapple ropes you can go up from the floor or down from the roof, even put a window cleaner crane in and when you get to certain floors as you grapple down, you can activate a explosive device on the window to break it and gain access that way away from the waiting machine gunner and their trap, also have the main large buildings on the map connected underneath to give you some cover from snipers and some cover against turrents planted on the roofs to keep the intruders and helicopters away, but the tunnel system only provides some cover, not total cover from point a to point b, and also have office workers you can choose to save and activate to follow you so you can get them to safety and use the tunnel system to get then to a truck waiting as a optional bonus mission that rewards you some item, great, echo, assassin change out and refill, either one of those types of rewards after completing it and the amount you save increases the reward value or amount if its possible, that's the map I would design by updating the old BF 2042 sky scraper map.
