Bot XP Idea: might keep everyone happy?
Something I was thinking about was, instead of giving full xp for a bot kill on a server full of bots. Make the xp earned dependent on how many bots there are on a server.
For example: the farming servers where there’s 1 human vs 63 AI. Only give 1 or 2 xp per kill. Hell, even put a cap on xp earned from bots per match.
Then when playing on a server that has fill in bots. Make the xp earned increase or decrease depending on how many bots there are on the server. If there’s say 44 humans with 20 bots, make the bot kills give more xp, instead of 1 or 2, give 20-30.
This number could go up or down as more bots are used to fill in of players drop out, or players come in.
Think along the lines of how xp values are calculated in some rpg games or mmos. Hell you could even make bot xp change depending on your player level. The higher your level, the lower the xp gain is per kill.
I understand that not everyone has the time to put in to “git gud” or sometimes people just want to get on and screw around. This might help fill the gap to keep everyone happy.
Instead I noticed today that we’re getting AFK servers that people just sit on and get match xp every 4 minutes. Not sure that’s going to do much for server slots lol.
