Breakthrough being very unbalanced for attacking teams.

I would like to address the elephant in the room being how breakthrough works on main maps especially mirak valley and manhatten bridge for attack. EA IF YOU READ THIS LET ATTACKERS HAVE MORE SPACE TO PLACE MORTARS SO WE CAN USE IT OFFENSIVELY TO "SUPPORT" THE ATTACK THIS DRIVES ME INSANE CURRENTLY.

  • Unfortunately yes, maps have huge issues in Breaktrough. Attackers fail first 2 objective of Mirak Valley 9 out 10 times. Unless teams are heavily unbalanced attackers have a really hard time. On Sobek City first 2 objective seems nearly undefendeable, if the attacker team is just slightly decent. Then the second zone attackers fail most times. It's just hard to attack into a team that has both ground and elevated positions at the same time. And then suddenly people found out how to recon drone glitch and now the rooftops all are full of players again and the game is decided by recon drone glitchers. Firestorm again seems to favour defenders again. Maybe not the first few areas, but i rarely see attackers taking the last areas if ever...

But adding more mortars to the game is not a real fix. The game needs less mortars, not more mortars. In my opinion mortar just ruins the game. If multiple people are mortaring and you can't even stay in the same place for a single moment without getting mortared it really ruins the game. Many of the good bf3/bf4 rush servers ran a sniper limit and no mortar rule for this very same reason. The maps needs to be fixed in different ways. Maybe add more cover for attackers, or more flanking positions etc. Or move the breaktrough objective area slightly to a different location to give attackers a chance...
