I think it should be changed but I don't think the developers should completely nerfed it down to 0 exp and progression, at least make it count for assignments because some assignments are really annoying which can not be completed in most of the game. I had my defil in my hand for a whole 30 min Breakthrough game and eventually I only revived 74 persons. I just felt frustrated LOL. While nerfing the bots, they should redesign some of the requirement.
I think everyone has a different priority on what you want to achieve in a bot match. I think completing assignments is something that should be a multiplayer thing, like R1ckyDaMan19 said. These challenges/assignments are something that show your skill or dedication to the game and shouldn't be easily obtainable through bot servers.
But I also heard many people complain about the challenges and how hard or impossible they are, but that is somewhat the point of a challenge and I think redesigning them if needed is a topic for a different discussion.
