Can we have squad icons that behave like team icons?

I’m talking about the name only showed when pointed (sometimes someone have really long names that bothers me) like this

And also not floating around the screen when not in sight

The closest thing I can do now is to set peripheral icons opacity to 0, it works ok vertically, but I cannot set horizontally, since the peripheral area works like a circle

So to not have squad icons floating around I have no icons whatsoever on the sides, except for the enemies icons
