I don't disagree and, to some extent, the earlier post from the dev team will go some way toward addressing some of these issues. But (and it's a BIG "but"), the fact that they haven't mentioned anything at all about fixing the challenges that are literally broken right now (with no workaround, thanks to them also nerfing Portal into complete irrelevance) means they're not actually paying any attention whatsoever to feedback. It's also worth mentioning that these are the exact same problems they had with 2042, with the beta, and with pretty much every title for the past twenty years or so, and you could be excused for thinking they might have figured out how to get challenges to track properly by now... but...
When they say absurd **bleep** like, "We’ve seen all your feedback about the challenges and their criteria, the team’s working on a series of improvements to make challenges more straightforward to understand and faster to complete." it drives me a tiny bit insane. Because clearly you haven't seen (or are willfully ignoring) the mountain of feedback that has absolutely nothing to do with not understanding how to complete a challenge or feeling like it's taking too long - the challenges are literally not tracking at all.
Suppression works when it feels like it, usually not at all, so suppressing 300 enemies isn't difficult or taking a long time, it's literally impossible. Same for repairing vehicles: I can run around with my blowtorch out for an entire match, repair dozens of vehicles for thousands of points of armor and get absolutely zero points awarded for my effort and zero progression toward the related challenges. Same with healing teammates. Hell, same with getting anything at all from the resupply bag. Some of it seems to work some of the time, but with no rhyme or reason, and quite a bit of it just doesn't work at all. Period. Full stop.
So, devs, if you're listening at all. Don't waste your time or mine on gaslighting me into thinking I'm too stupid to understand how to complete the challenges (and certainly don't waste precious patch time on "fixing" a problem that only exists in your own minds). Fix the f***ing challenge tracking and all the other game-breaking bugs that you've actually received as feedback before you do anything else. The entire point of this game (other than running around shooting each other in the face, of course) is progression, and progression is tied to completing challenges, and the challenges are tied to certain pieces of equipment working properly; so, if that's broken - and it clearly is - you might want to address it instead of trying to convince us all that they're just too nuanced and difficult.
