Contaminated Breakthrough defender spawn first stage

Once attackers are on the point and have brought their tank down the road a little, the game spawns defenders on the side of the road to the bunker. To get to the objective, they have to run past the front of the tank and all the snipers in the attacker's hills with no cover. Due to the elevation and distance to run, smoke grenades cannot adequately conceal the players. The quickest path to run is bombarded at the end by mortars. It just doesn't seem possible to do anything useful if you spawn there.
