I’ve been playing Battlefield for a very long time, long enough to remember when this franchise stood for something unique:
Large-scale tactical warfare, teamwork, vehicles, class identity, map control, and immersion.
A place where people played the objective, not a place where everyone chased personal statistics and cosmetics.
Today, Battlefield 6 feels nothing like that anymore. It has turned into a to-do list simulator, where the match is no longer about teamwork or strategy, but about completing absurd challenges just to unlock basic gameplay elements or cosmetic items that nobody needs.
I’m not even mentioning the technical issues at this point or the broken promises about playing the way you want to. It feels like a business model, where every decision is driven by monetization metrics, not gameplay quality. Battlefield lost its identity and it killed the game.
BF6 is dead to me, long live BF2042!
Let them just release map remake packs as dlc's for 2042's Portal.
