Re: 🎯 Equality Isn’t Equity. Please Rethink Bot XP for Accessibility and Fair Play

I’m disappointed that my previous post wasn’t acknowledged. I’m speaking up again because this genuinely affects my ability to enjoy the game.

I have a genetic eye condition that progressively affects my vision and reaction time. In a fast-paced FPS, this is a major limitation — and what makes it worse is that the new “Casual Breakthrough” mode does not actually solve the issue. It feels identical to regular Breakthrough, and it doesn’t provide the accessibility or reduced pressure that many players, including those with disabilities, need.

I’ve already offered logical, realistic suggestions. The simplest solution would be to allow private matches with bots and cap the XP gain to prevent abuse. This would give players like me — and many others who just want a lower-stress experience — a way to enjoy the game, play with friends, and still make progress. Right now, with an 8-player minimum and no meaningful private-mode progression, that’s simply not possible.

For people dealing with disabilities, especially vision-related ones like mine, gaming is sometimes one of the few escapes from real-life challenges. But equality is not the same as equity. Treating all players the same doesn’t help those who need different tools or options to participate fully.

I’m asking DICE to take this seriously and consider providing an equitable, accessible mode that actually meets the needs of players with disabilities.

Thanks...
