Battlefield – Feedback After One Month of Play
Battlefield feedback after one month of play
Broken spawns
Sometimes the game spawns players directly in front of enemies, causing instant deaths. Spawns should be placed away from active combat zones.
Map matchmaking
Matchmaking often selects the same map multiple times in a row even when no filters are applied. This should not happen unless players intentionally choose only one map.
Audio positioning
The audio makes it difficult to understand where enemies are located. Battlefield 1 still has the clearest sound design in my experience.
Enemy visibility
Enemies often blend into the environment, making them hard to see. Adjustments to uniform colors or map lighting could help with visibility.
Map objective layout
Some maps, especially in Domination, have objectives placed too close together, creating chaotic gameplay. Spacing them out more could improve strategic flow.
Weapon attachments
Certain attachments feel unbalanced. For example, the recoil difference between a 1x scope and a 1.75x scope seems too large.
Class design
Grenades should be available to all classes. Some weapon types could be tied to specific roles, such as SMGs for Engineer and DMRs or Snipers for Recon.
Netcode issues
There are many moments when I die behind cover due to delayed damage. Some shots do not register properly, including sniper headshots, likely because of desync.
Ping differences
Ping seems to have a much bigger impact than in previous Battlefield games. Players with lower ping have a very strong advantage over those with slightly higher ping.
Leaderboard
The new leaderboard system is unclear. Older Battlefield games counted assists toward kills, but now there is a separate assist counter. It is not obvious how assists are calculated.
Portal mode
Portal should not give XP, weapon unlocks, or gadget progression because it creates an unfair advantage over players who use official servers. It should be focused on custom maps and fun game modes.
Bots in multiplayer
Playing against bots in multiplayer feels unsatisfying. Bots should only appear in the campaign, Portal, or community modes, not in standard multiplayer playlists.
RPG damage
RPG damage feels inconsistent. It seems to deal more predictable damage to vehicles than infantry. Direct RPG hits on soldiers should be lethal or nearly lethal.
Shotgun range
Shotguns feel too strong at long distances, sometimes similar to rifles. Their effective range should be reduced.
Daily challenges
Daily challenges are different for each player. In my opinion, they should be the same for everyone and only appear in normal game modes, not special modes like Gauntlet or Battle Royale.
Weekly challenges
Weekly challenges often push players into modes they do not enjoy. Challenges should be more general and not force players into specific modes. Rerolls help but are not always enough.
Final thoughts
These points reflect my experience and the areas where I believe improvements could make the game better. I hope this feedback helps and I am interested in hearing what other players think as well.
