Disable crossplay on PC

How do I disable crossplay on PC? I don't want to have my games continue to be ruined by auto-aiming console heroes.

Do you know why the whole cross play situation didn't work out?.

Because when Xbox turns off cross play they're no longer console only, they still play with and against pc game pass. I see it all the time on Xbox games with cross play off. There's still pc gamers on pc game pass cos with Microsoft, everything is an Xbox. It screws Xbox over.

Playstation is different when cross play is off on ps it's console only.

Maybe playstation wouldn't allow the fake console only cross play that Microsoft offers and wanted players who choose to play against console to ONLY play against console.

But they won't come out n say that. Most Xbox players have no clue they're still playing against pc players with cross play off.

  • PC needs to turn to be able to turn off cross-play, I'm so sick of these toxic console kids. Cheating is also a HUGE problem on console even outside of Cronus. Something needs to be done, or they are going to lose their PC fanbase.

I was at a friend's house last night and their teenage son was playing BF6 on Xbox. He showed me the Cronus Zen and how it tracks the nearest target. Not sure how this goes undetected. I play on PC and after seeing that, we really need to be able to turn off crossplay on PC as well. I signed up for the forums to vent my frustrations after seeing that.

The old fart in me knows it will pass unnoticed. It's all about a company's pocketbooks, not the gamer experience.

    Yes, you can. Google it.

The problem is if you do, EA/DICE still send all the cross-play-on PC players to fill console lobbies and cross-play-off PC players end up with lobbies full of bots even though there are hundreds of thousands of PC players online.

It a terrible and insultingly biased match-making system.

It is possible, if you manually configure a settings file. I saw some reddit posts where some guy has open a ticket to ask if it's banable or not, and they said it isn't. Bad part? when you turn crossplay off via the settings file since not all players are tech savvy you'll get matched only with the ppl on PC that have the option turned off and never match you with PC players that have it on, and all that result in having lobbies with tons of bots and few players. I've saw lobbies populated 60 or 40% populated with players and the rest bots, but **bleep** the game felt good. No bullet registration issue, no 0.5 ttk BS. I've just made a post about the same issue.
