No need to make up imaginary reasons for dropping player counts. Games naturally lose players over time and Battlefield 6 has a very shallow decline, which indicates that the game is actually doing extremely well at retaining players. That doesn't mean the game is perfect and they certainly could have done things better. However, when you look at the major complaints that people have, spread isn't one of them. It's mostly the netcode, lack of large maps, the way they handled portal/bots and the fast pacing of the game.
The vast majority of first person shooters have spread, that includes competitive games Counterstrike and Valorant. Spread is necessary to make sure that guns aren't complete laser beams when you're able to compensate for the recoil. Whether you hit your shots isn't random. You can burst or tap fire your gun to ensure that spread doesn't build up.
