EF88: Compensator attachment

Does the Compensator attachment for the EF88 get you spotted when you fire?

Here's what the customisation menu says...

COMPENSATOR:
Reduces recoil buildup and improves recoil recovery.

And that's it –nothing about getting spotted when you fire. By contrast, here's what the customisation menu says about the Convertor...

CONVERTOR
Reduces horizontal recoil in favor of more stable vertical recoil. Soldiers firing will be spotted, marking their position in-world and on the minimap

On top of this, there are also 2 Flash Hider attachments for this gun....sooo is the Compensator for the EF88 basically a third Flash Hider?
