Feature Request: Please add drum-mag attachments in Battlefield 6
Hi DICE team and fellow players,
I’d love to see drum magazine options as a magazine attachment in BF6. I enjoy playstyles built around abundant ammo and sustained fire, and I think drums could add fresh tactical variety without breaking balance.
Why it helps gameplay
Stronger objective defense & suppression: Holding doorways, locking down capture points, and suppressing pushes feels great with longer bursts.
Distinct playstyle identity: Not everyone wants tap-fire—some of us love the “keep the lane hot” role that supports the squad.
More loadout expression: A drum mag is a meaningful, visible choice that changes how a weapon handles.
Suggested design (balanced trade-offs)
Availability: Magazine attachment for select weapons (SMGs, ARs, battle rifles; not DMRs/snipers).
Capacities (examples):
SMGs: 50–75
ARs/Battle rifles: 60–100
Trade-offs to balance:
Slower ADS and movement handling
Longer reloads and heavier swap speed
Slightly worse recoil control during long bursts
Reduced total reserve ammo so you still need resupply
Readability & polish: Unique reload animations/sounds, clear visual drum models, and skin support.
Progression idea: Unlock via an assignment tied to suppression assists, objective defense, or ammo support.
Mid-tier alternative
For maps/modes needing tighter balance, a “casket/quad-stack” 50–60-round option could sit between standard extended mags and full drums.
Thanks for considering this! Drum mags would make BF6’s gun customization deeper and give sustained-fire fans a legit, balanced path to play our favorite role.
