Feedback & Suggestions on the Future of Battlefield 6
First of all, we would like to wish the development team a successful and happy New Year.
Thank you for your continued work and support for the game.
Winter Offensive LTM & PvE Potential
The Winter Offensive LTM had a fantastic atmosphere and was genuinely enjoyable. The snowy environment, lighting, and overall mood created a very strong experience. This event clearly showed how much potential Battlefield 6 has for PvE-focused content.
We believe this mode could serve as an excellent foundation for:
- a dedicated PvE mode
- a DMZ-style or extraction mode
- a survival mode
- or even a PvEvP city-based experience
The large urban maps, winter setting, and early-morning atmosphere strongly reminded many players of The Division 1, which was widely loved. With well-tuned AI, a simple narrative, contracts, progression, and unlockable blueprints, Battlefield already has everything needed to support such modes. This would also help retain players who prefer a more casual or cooperative experience.
Player Retention & Casual Content
We noticed a decline in player numbers, which may be partly due to the high difficulty curve for less experienced players. Adding more casual-friendly or PvE-focused modes could help keep a broader audience engaged and give players more ways to enjoy the game.
Controller Feedback & Aim Assist
Recent updates significantly improved controller behavior. Aim assist slowdown feels much better now, and the response curves also work more smoothly than before.
That said, there is still room to improve the balance between controller and mouse & keyboard:
- We suggest stronger aim assist support at medium range
- Aim assist should still be present at long range, but with lower intensity compared to medium range
This would create a smoother, distance-based scaling of aim assist, making tracking more natural while maintaining fair balance between controller and mouse players.
Overall, aim assist is close to being in a very good place and no longer feels overly disruptive.
Crossplay Functionality
Currently, disabling crossplay limits matchmaking to the same platform only. Ideally, crossplay disabled should allow console-to-console matchmaking (PlayStation ↔ Xbox) while excluding PC players. This would give console players more flexibility without fragmenting the player base unnecessarily.
Enemy Visibility
Enemy visibility has improved, but it remains inconsistent in some situations. We are actively testing possible improvements and will share more detailed feedback once further testing is complete.
