Feedback: Class-Locked Skins and Role Readability
I think allowing the same character skins across all classes negatively affects battlefield readability and moment-to-moment decision making.
A good example is the McKenzie skin. Multiple times I’ve identified a player as recon based on their appearance and adjusted my approach accordingly—only to be unexpectedly taken out by an RPG. This creates confusion because visual cues no longer reliably communicate a player’s role, strengths, or limitations.
This isn’t about realism or restricting creativity. From a gameplay perspective, clear visual role identification is important for situational awareness and tactical decisions. Class-locked or class-distinctive skins would help maintain that clarity and reduce misleading encounters.
Even subtle visual distinctions tied to class would go a long way in improving battlefield readability.
