[FEEDBACK] Maps are generating frustrating gameplay
Just a side note, I’ve only skipped BF2042.
Maps in this iteration are quite small, tons of environmental clutter, and excessive lanes and vertical access to objectives. Unless I choose to spawn on a point (which actually spawns you quite far from the point) there is a high likelihood I will be gibbed before I move a few feet by someone from ANY Cardinal direction, building level, or rooftop.
MAP SIZE probably can’t be fixed quickly - so maybe remove a lot of the excess clutter objects (vases, foliage, window shutters, excessive boxes, etc.).
There is also the effect of a player outside seeing only darkness when looking into a window from a distance, while looking out is over bright and slightly blurred. I get there is a degree of realism trying to be mimicked but it’s more infuriating in bf6 than enjoyable. It really feels like we’re trying to blend bf and cod for some reason. Player models already blend in with everything, rewarding camping over objective gameplay.
Please make battlefield objectives rewarding. If you keep rewarding standing around that’s where we’ll end up. Players that ignore objectives can actually be in one of ~30+ locations if you go to objective C in any small map. Different boxes, alleyways, under different vehicles, different floors or rooftops, windows in each room on each floor, different pits in the road. Then we top that off with all your holiday destination decor and excessive foliage and ivy. Gets kind of ridiculous. The game should be more about gunfights than hiding. Though of course camping has its place.
Please consider Battlefield games and not CoD games for future map designs. First time I’m almost wishing I could refund.
