Feedback: The Q&A and Deadspace: Are we being serious?

I loved the Deadspace IP, and thoroughly enjoyed the games back in the day, looking back in them fondly.

Then EA not only kills the brand dead after the reboot apparently failed, but they shoehorn Deadspace into a completely unrelated game, and make an absolute hash of it, to boot.

Glitchy, blackscreening when going back to the menu on PS5, and generally just boring compared to the main game modes such as conquest and breakthrough, and the main theme of Battlefield.

Also, it's temporary, just like everything else of interest in this game. There's testing out what players like, then there's wasting months of development time on modes that will vanish, with no plans to ever return.

If I'm not mistaken, strikepoint is still gone, and Obliteration is basically forgotten.

So what happened to doing collabs that fitted with them theme, as the older Q&A confirmed?

At this point you may as well at Rick and Morty, because why not?

(Saying that the main game is STILL in an absolute shambles of a state. Matchmaking, team balance, REDSEC still feeling like a rushed add-on, the Phantom Program mess, the vehicle nerf mess, server browser and other key functionality that should've been there from the start ignored until a year later, Netcode all over the place, boring maps or recycled ones from old games, the gun balance mess, and more that we've mentioned tonnes of times on these channels over the past year).

Then, the Q&A.

Are we being serious?

Not only did you all answer less questions, you answered about two of any remote importance to the future of the title.

Instead, you continue to acknowledge rubbish like dynamic weather and nefs to gadgets etc.

Thousands of questions on important topics came through, there were six of you, and that was the amount answered that we got?

I would say that the giant super Battlefield Studios that implies absolute brand commitment needs to get it's priorities straight, but it's painfully obvious that they are working on BF7, and gave this title to some skeleton crew, and said "yeah do whatever you like, or as little as you like, and make sure to let AI do most of everything with rubbish results".

There's even little to no communication from the staff in the forums anymore, unless it's people getting muted.

I love the game mode, it's fun and different, and is a Halloween game mode, it will be gone soon enough. The rest of the game is right there and is no different.
As for theme, it's Area 51. Nothing is way out there and in your face.

I agree with you. I add that I prefer pay the maps than have to deal with the skins bulls4it! They ruin the immersion!

point is that they better had spent time on the quality of the game and outstanding complaints and not in a rubbish gamemodf(e) like this, and also I dont care about Haloween at all, it has no benefits for the game.

That's exactly the problem. "It will be gone soon enough" just like all over modes.
With REDSEC continuing to vamperically drain the development resources from the core game modes, and all this time spent on temporary modes, the main game still ends up getting poorly designed maps and glitches lasting for god knows how long since launch.
They've spent time making something community didn't ask for or want, at the expense of the main game.

I agree—it’s unclear why this collaboration even happened, especially given the lack of cinematic sequences compared to the *Top Gun* crossover. If they were going to do something like this, a simple PvE mode featuring "zombie" PAX units would have sufficed. To use the *Dead Space* IP and release something of such poor quality is an insult to *Dead Space* fans.
The content extracted from the Discord Q&A is also quite odd. I don’t know how many questions were actually asked during the live session, but I’d like to see something more meaningful.Also, since you don't intend to cover it again later anyway, you shouldn't write that you're looking for an opportunity!

Personally, I'm not a fan of glowing weapons or futuristic, RoboCop-style outfits. But let's be fair, this isn't exactly new to Battlefield. We already saw similar stuff in BF2042. At least the quality this time around is noticeably better than the mess we got back then.
At the end of the day, it's an EA crossover between franchises they already own, so I can understand why they'd do it. Still, that doesn't mean every crossover makes sense. I mean, nobody wants to see a Dead Space soldier running around in FIFA or driving a sports car in Need for Speed! xD
As for the limited-time mode, I wouldn't exactly call it a masterpiece. It has its issues, and honestly, it's ridiculously easy. I completed the entire event pass in just three matches without even trying. Where's the challenge in that?
Don't get me wrong, I don't think the event is terrible. It has some potential, and with a bit more effort, it could've been much better. But hey, it's EA. At this point, I guess we should know what to expect... and yet here we are again! xD
What I'd really love to see is the return of smaller-scale modes like Strikepoint and Gauntlet. Those were genuinely fun, and I miss having that kind of variety in Battlefield.
And for the love of Battlefield, PLEASE STOP ADDING GLOWING WEAPONS. Not everything needs to look like a futuristic Christmas tree! xD

It was already obvious that the developers had no respect for Battlefield's traditions or its community the moment they started forcing battle royale on us.
I guess their goal is to build Apex Legends and Dead Space on top of Battlefield.
Why do they waste time creating ridiculous modes like this while ignoring requests to let us host PvE servers in traditional Battlefield modes?
Don't need zombie shooter where can't even tell friend from foe.
