I play on Xbox with Xplay OFF. Matchmaking is absolute **bleep**.
A full match with 64 players ends and the match rolls over and…. There are 5 players in the next match?!?
As someone that’s played thousands of hours on BF4, BF1 and BFV ..ON XBOX, i can tell you with 100% confidence, there is absolutely NO WAY IN HELL that all 59 players from the previous match left. And this happens over and over again all day and all night.
At any given moment there are probably 5 to 10 Xbox only lobbies sitting idle with 5 to 20 players per lobby, all waiting to fill so the match can start.
This is next level ineptitude and unimaginable levels of hubris on the part of BF6 developers. It almost feels like it’s done on purpose. We had the server browser which nullifies this absolute waste of time and **bleep**.

Agreed. I'm on PS but the problem is the same. Here in SAM, it's actually worse; I can't find a match with more than 10 real players outside of the weekend—lobbies are just full of ghosts. I honestly don't know who thought this was a good idea.
As you said, in past BFs (and even on a 13-year-old game like BF4) you can still find full servers thanks to the server browser. I opened this thread hoping the devs would listen to our feedback and fix this (just like R6 Siege did, with console-only crossplay, and if you plug a mouse and keyboard into a console, you get put into PC lobbies). But honestly, I feel like nothing will change, just like it didn't change in 2042. That game died without this ever being fixed.

You’re absolutely right. It really feels like EA/DICE suffers from some kind of arrogance. While most games strive for fair matchmaking, and actively prevent advantages based on input types, they seem to do the exact opposite: forcing completely unbalanced setups to compete under the same conditions. It’s like putting a wheelchair user in a race against a cyclist just because they both have wheels.
