From 1942 to BF6: What Defines Battlefield for You?
Hey everyone,
After spending time in the BF6 Beta, I’ve been reading the forums and watching videos and seeing a wide mix of reactions — some excitement, some worry, and a lot of comparisons to past titles.
This Beta is clearly a specific slice of the game — smaller maps, faster combat, quicker respawns — but I’m curious about something beyond “what should be added” after seeing such a variety of opinions.
What does Battlefield mean to you?
- Which elements, across the whole series, feel like non‑negotiables for a game to “feel” like Battlefield?
- Is it the map scale, the sandbox chaos, the squad play, destruction, the pacing?
- Are there moments from past titles that stand out in memory and define Battlefield in your mind?
I’m less interested in a wishlist for this upcoming game and more in understanding the shared (or maybe not‑so‑shared) mental picture we all have of what Battlefield is.
Maybe it's something right under our noses, but hearing from newer and older fans would be awesome. Share your take, and if you feel the Beta does or doesn’t hit that identity, feel free to share why for posterity and curiosity's sake.
Cheers,
Kahldin aka Delta_Dog
