This is my sentiment exactly. Every map, other than the heavy urban ones just feel like glorified, flat and boring kill lanes. I don't want every map to feel like I am storming Normandy and the team just has to medic spam and smoke the entire time.
Then you add in mortars so when you are pushing you have copious amounts of explosions damaging and killing you, your team, and your cover. Then throw grenade spam into the mix and you have a very disruptive experience.
Snipers are another point of contention because the sniper scope glint being toned down so severely made crossing areas on these open killing fields just feel awful. Especially when they get the anti-glare attachment which only exacerbates the issue.
Add more cover to certain maps to break up the flat landscape monotony. Increase scope glint a bit so snipers aren't effectively invisible. Nerf explosives like mortars specifically so you can't just sit on a bag and pop them off with impunity.
