This was my thinking too. Some Recons do run non-sniper and push forward, make good use of TUGS, sensor ball and really help their squad and team push objectives. Most I see just get on a roof and never think about their squad, team or objectives.
The Spawn Beacon should be the Assaults class gadget to push forward, it would see a lot more use. Relegate that pathetic injector as a selectable gadget no one ever picks. A non-sniper Recon need some anti-spotting device or something, they are lacking a bit.
The Assault is having the worst identity/usefulness issue imo, I rarely see them in my squad - Engineers and Support 95% of the time.
