Hackers galore

I was just on Conquest. My squad was capturing an objective when three of us were headshotted by the same player instantly, one after the other. Bam, bam, bam. Clearly, the enemy instantly locked onto our heads with each shot, a half second apart. Sorry, I didn't catch the player's name. But, that usually doesn't matter. Whenever I've tried reporting people by their in-game name I am told not to. What's the point of reporting anything?

  • They managed to ban almost 500,000 accounts during the beta alone. Their anti cheat apparently works that is more than Valve has been able to ban during pretty much the entirety of CS2's lifetime.   Give them some time to cook.  I have ran into just a handful of people I suspected of cheating. Report them and move on honestly.    Compared to playing a match of Hunt Showdown in 6* MMR or the average Counter strike match this game is practically cheater free. ( I know they're there, but they seem to be WAY less impactful in this game than any other shooter I play.)

  • not only hacker...exploiters are most annoying thing...

and it has already become almost the norm... every third match...

Most of the time I just back out if I see the next map is Cairo at this point. If i do stick it out I see people on the roof tops every other match.  I'm torn, often if I see a full squad on the roof it means they aren't capping points and usually we end up winning the match. I also enjoy posting up with a DMR and a view of the roof to farm them until they give up on the roof spawn.   It does need to be addressed though. I believe i read in the patch notes that they had already fixed a couple of the other spots on the map and hopefully will continue to do so.  If i catch people on MY team climbing on the roofs I try to figure out where they're doing it from and blow it up with a rocket or C4 to prevent more players from doing so.    I shouldn't have to spend my match time policing the habits of exploiters but until they fix it it I don't mind doing so.

  • Was it controller users? I've been snapped onto and killed often by controller users. Shooting them first from a short distance only to have them quickly snap toward me and instantly kill me. Close encounters with a controller player usually don't end well for me for some reason. I know there are hitreg issues currently with the game, but there is definitely something fishy going on.

I play on Xbox myself. But, there are people who play on "fake consoles" to hide their cheats. But, EA is getting to them as well. I figure they will eventually get a good handle on cheaters. But, there will always be some cheaters as they figure out code to circumvent the dev tools.

  • This game has just as much hackers and exploiters as a game that is 2-3 years old. When these people are caught they need an IP perma ban. Something that links their physical address to the ban and not just an account to eliminate them from just buying a new account. I'm sure there are ways to do this.
