Hand grenade range required in order to deploy the mortar in Breakthrough??

First time? DICE?? 

Has nobody on the BF6 Development Team ever played Breakthrough using the mortars in BF4 or BF1??? 

What’s the point of the long range, indirect fire  mortar if we can’t use them…. AT LONG RANGE? 

On the contamination map playing breakthrough, I literally have to get within hand grenade range of the objective before I can deploy the mortar. I mean. What? I can’t even fathom who.. how .. why this is even a thing.

Look at how mortars are used in breakthrough in BF4 and BF1 one and just make it work the same way for BF6. Please stop reinventing the wheel.
