So if I'm finding the helis completely horrible to fly (even though I was pretty good in BF4) I should be using the assist mode?
I turned it off and forgot I had, to be honest.

If your using the smart rockets i would say yes assist on, it makes it easier to hover and shoot (since you can free aim them) or do a fly over and shoot, if your using any other rockets i would say no, i tried them with assist mode on but since they go where the nose is pointing it makes it difficult to aim as the assisted mode tries to keep you in a hover so as soon as you stop moving forward the nose pitches up, making it impossible to hit anything.
As for bf4 i found just playing with the sensitivity helped me a lot to get that feeling back, but i need to be 1st person to do actual decent flying, the 3rd person throws me off so much, so i mainly fly 1st, and swap to 3rd person briefly to get a better look around me, or when im trying to hover low (behind some cover or between buildings etc) or just before landing to actually see the ground (as you nose will most likely be pointed up slightly)
