In previous games, whether it was BF4, BF1, BFV, and 2042, it was common to have a majority of your deaths come from air vehicles, whether jets, helis, fighters, attack planes, or fighters (with bombs for some reason).
The appeal and success of BF6's beta is in no small part because it featured 3 maps without any air vehicles, and even Liberation Peak was a blissful reprieve. It makes no sense for BF devs to cater to a tiny fraction of players that only play jet or heli, and insist on being able to run the entire match without dying, while topping the scoreboard, because skillz. Nope, that is not what BF is about.
The Apache is specifically for destroying tanks, it is not meant to be an infantry farming machine, and even in BF4 rewarded precise aim with the rockets, as they were limited and had a long reload. And even then, some pilots could absolutely wipe the floor with the server.
The constant death to vehicles, particularly air vehicles, is largely what turns off a lot of players to BF games. Keeping a leash on these will greatly increase sales and player counts, and EA seems (finally) to be fully aware of this.
I would much rather see tank vs tank on larger maps, than helis destroying a tank on every pass. Bring back transport helis, which are more balanced, fun, and reward TEAM PLAY, instead of a single pilot curbstomping round after round.
