Help! Apparently i suck

So as the title says apparently i suck. i have asked for help in game and received mostly negative feedback on my skills. i have encountered several reoccurring scenarios that i can't seem to figure out how the other players are doing what they are doing, or how to counter/deal with/or replicate. I have played many of the BF games and have always gravitated towards the sniper role. probably because i suck at the spray and pray, however this time around i am trying to expand my experience and skills (partly because i have maxed all the sniper rifles at this point). I'm just going to list some of the issues I'm having and if you have any constructive advice or input please reply to what you can. I am on PC (kb/mouse).

1- piloting. i have my private pilots license and whether i am in a Helo, or jet i can't see to do much more then fly around the map in a circle. the minute i try to do any combat, i am either shot out of the sky or immediately crash. i see other people doing things with these vehicles that i can't even come close to doing myself. Helo's that dive fast for the deck but seem to hit an imaginary buffer line before crashing and then staying a consistent height over the ground regardless of terrain. Jets that fly impossibly slow, or dive towards the ground at high speed and pull out with ease. I'm not sure if i need a different input style, different settings, or to rewire my brain from actually flying to find a path to success here.

2- Tanks/APC. couple issues here as well. i see others that have impossible aim and sight, shooting at me from across the map while I'm on foot and hitting me with the MG, sometimes the main gun as well. also when i am tanking fire from infantry i seem to take relatively few hits compared to when i am trying to kill one as infantry. other infantry seems to be able to move much faster then i can when i am in close on a tank myself. if i see someone and try to drive away to get range, they always seem to be able to stay in close and i can't hit them or get away, where as when i try to replicate this i fail on all aspects.

3- sighting. there are many games (seems like they are getting more frequent) where it does not matter where i spawn, run, hide, whatever, someone always knows exactly where i am at all times and i am getting shot at the instant any part of me comes close to stepping out from behind cover. other players seem to be able to see me behind cover as well. i never have this type of information and awareness from my view.

4- cover. it seems to be happening more lately where i am getting killed while behind cover. I'm not meaning something that can be destroyed, I'm talking about large rocks, terrain, indestructible building parts. it seems to be console players that are able to do this most frequently and they seem to know it. as i have sat behind cover for up to 2 min recently while another player continuously poured bullets from a MG into said cover the entire time.

5- weapon speed and power. it seems like no matter what weapon i try to use for in close fighting, every other player is able to hit harder and faster. if myself or another player comes around a blind corner, i never win the fight.

6- weapon accuracy. connected to issue 5. it seems like everyone else has to deal with less recoil then me as they are able  make multiple head shots on full auto, yet when i try to replicate, my sights immediately track off target. other players (seems like mostly console) have an enhanced ability to make accurate shots on full auto at medium to long ranges as well.

7- DMR. since i have maxed all the sniper rifles, i have been trying out the DMR's but the reduced damage per shot is proving difficult for me to be successful with. how should i be using these weapons to their best effect?

    Hello there.
I wouldn't think too negatively. Everyone has "sucked" in at one point in their gaming career. If you want to strive to become a better player, it's literally just practice and time. There are a few exceptions where being exceptionally talented becomes the difference between a great player and pro player, but to just be a overall "good" player is doable. The only thing that bugs me is when players resort to accusations or implying cheating as an excuse for their loss without any evidence.
I can't say much for piloting since it's pretty difficult to obtain a jet/heli in the first place, but here are things I think about when I play the game.

As for various topics and questions:
Where are your teammates and objectives.
If your teammates are not moving, then they must be engaging or camping depending on the location.
You can choose your pathing/flank/etc. appropriately based on that.
    Where are your teammates aiming?
You can aim at areas that are not being covered.
Do you pay attention to bullet trajectories from snipers? Look at directions where you may have gotten hit?
Checking directionality and mini-map can give you advantage of pre-aiming for instance or peakers advantage.
Are you playing the appropriate gun for the appropriate distance? (Not all guns are equal and some are just not good overall)
Some guns require you to play different play styles which may not fit with the current play style you implement.
Do you use different strategies such as purposely letting enemies run pass you so you can gain the advantage later?
Do you always engage every fight just because a player shot at you?
    ...
This list can go on and on.

Feel free to msg me if you want to go over things more deeply. I'll be honest, I don't really want to type out everything but would rather discuss it over comms instead. And who knows, maybe you are already a good player or better player than me, but I'm just offering.

  • Sounds just like my experience !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  ;)

Today I 'marked' a tank in the distance (i was behind it, crouched down) - two seconds later the gunner fired and killed me.

It was as if they knew where I was because I had marked them ?????
