Help Sniping

Let me say this i hate sniping and find it boring as such i have very little time i think my highest lev sniper rifle is 5 for the 2010 how can i can i learn to snipe without getting killed by sweats or a vehicle that sees me and kills me in under 2 seconds how do i not scope glint its not even a real life issue very much now so why does the game make you stand out like a lighthouse?

Any portal experiences that actually work?
