The player with less ping, higher framerate and less system latency will always have the advantage in cqc, as it will be more symchronised with the server.
On the other hand, seems that the server doesn't care of what you did locally before just before dyeing. For example, if you get killed while shooting an RPG sometimes ir disappears midflight.
