How it ended with that bad glint on all scopes for sniper rifles?

Agreed, in recent titles I'd run 4x or 3.5x for that exact reason, to avoid glint which in reality doesn't make sense because the sun can't reflect off a scope no matter your position. At least make it make sense, using a lower magnification takes skill and puts you at a disadvantage against other players/snipers. Remove glint from 4x magnification and below. That simple

I don’t think having glint is bad for mid to high range scopes, but having glint on iron sights and 1x scopes is ridiculous (and yes I tested this with a friend and even iron sights, literally no scope attached has a glint)

I’m certain this must be a bug, but I haven’t seen any devs mention or comment on this, it really makes aggressive sniping impossible tbh.

Over the years they have made sniping easier so that it wasn't a 'wastes' class, but they made it's so easy that on some maps half the team would be snipers. The glint is there to deter every person and his dog from picking up a sniper rifle and taking (mostly) useless pot shots. I agree the scope glint is a bad mechanic, but unless they make sniping actually hard again, it needs to stay 

Snipers truly need fear nothing except other snipers now and it shows.  I think the new scope glint is fine, but coupled with the new spotting mechanics good luck getting the snipers on your team to notice the guy who's been pinning you down.

I really hope this is a bug, having glint on 1x, 2x, and 3x is so dumb...

if the devs say i'ts because the sweet spot mechanic, that's one more reason to remove this pathetic mechanic

Whiners like you made them practically eliminate glint.  Why cant you sniping losers just stfu.  Everyone was complaining about stuff that not an issue. Thanks for ruining the game **bleep**

So the result is they only toned it down for sniper rifles but all scopes still have glint right ?  They did not go the old BF3 or BF4 or BF2042  way and scopes below 4x do not hav glint at all.  

Pitty.  I think they should remove the glint from those low scopes.  You can not snipe with those lower scopes from 2km away at ll. Those are more for medium and short distance sniping that I like. To be close to the action and not sit on some hill 2km+ away with 20x scope.

So I really hope they will look at it in near future and do the same as in previous games give 0 glint to 4x or even 3x and lower sniper scopes.
