How to report PC users in Xbox lobbies

More and more I run into people on PC in Xbox lobbies. I turned cross play off for a reason. It seems they just have to login to a Xbox live profile and play. Can EA add another report line? Or figure out a way to remove them?

  • Most likely thinking someone is on PC & using wall hacks ect when in fact it's poor servers/netcode, 95% of the time I die & wonder how the hell did they know i was there, then looking at scoreboard ping the other player has 3-4 times my ping, so i'm on their screen long before they appear on mine.

  • I agree that having some examples of PC players being in Xbox lobbies when crossplay is turned off would be very helpful. I've actually recently responded to a similar thread to ask for the same.

I'm not disputing OP's claims, but I do feel like evidence, like videos or screenshots, is required. Not only would it confirm the issue, Dice could use it to investigate as well.

Does it show the PC monitor icon instead of a controller or something?

I know what crossplay means. I understand that you think that there are PC players in your cross-play off lobby, but I asked how do you come to that conclusion?

I play with keyboard and mouse. I am wondering if I was playing, and texting in chat, would you think I am a PC player because of that?  Or how do you decide that someone is a PC player?

The other person said something about controller players playing on PC.  Do you think that is what makes them get into cross-play off lobbies?  Or why do you think they even said that?

If you think someone is a PC player because they have a PC profile, that just isn't the case. I have a PC profile and an Xbox profile. I played past BF games exclusively on PC with this user name and this EA account.  My name in the game on xbox isn't even then the same name any more. I play exclusively on xbox now, but my PC profile is often displayed in chat and to other players even though my xbox name is in the game and on the scoreboard.  I know it confuses people, because they tell me. My wife was the first to point it out to me on her screen.

I wish BF6 could fix that, but it is what it is currently.  Probably it won't be fixed. They haven't fixed parties breaking up after matchmaking matches, or added ping limits, so what are the odds that they will care that people's wrong profiles or names are displayed to other people?

So, like I said, I think a lot of clarification is needed so that we can have a discussion based on information available.  As it is, everything has been very vague.

Yes I play the game.  I play exclusively on xbox, with a mouse and keyboard, and have 38d 2h 18m of game open "play time" according to xbox. I am rank 232.  Yes, I play.  I play both crossplay off and on, depending on the situation.

Finally, like I said, why would it even matter to you?  Just curious.  Is it because you think they are actually PC players who may be using cheats?  If so, that's valid; but I don't think it is possible. Or are you afraid they are cloud gaming?  If so, who cares? Cloud gaming doesn't unlock the ability to install cheats on the cloud server. Or, do you not like cloud gaming's crap ping and hit registration exploits? I agree, but that is a broader ping limit issue that doesn't have to be solved for cloud gaming specifically.

What does turning off cross play mean to you? If cross play is off and I’m on XBOX what do you think that means? You see how your questions are not relevant?

Do you even play this game? Or just commenting trying to make people look dumb and you smart by your takes on the matter?

You know when you report someone it tells everyone the platforms they play on correct?

I won’t reply to nonsensical stuff like this again.

    Thread needs context.

What indicates that they are a PC player to you?

And what does using a Xbox or Playstation controller on a PC have to do with being in an "Xbox Lobby"?

And what does "Xbox Lobby" mean to you?

Someone posted that game on demand or game streaming services or cloud gaming (whatever you want to call it), allow you to play in a console lobby from a PC.  I don't know how you would verify that. And I don't know why anyone would even care. I play with a mouse and keyboard plugged into my xbox. Do you want to report me for getting owned in any of this game's tiny maps by your controller's OP aim assist and reduced recoil?

What are we reporting? And why? If it is the game and part of EA's infrastructure, what do you think someone should be punished for? If anything, ask EA to start caring about what EA is choosing to allow that you think is negatively affecting you.

I think, if anything, the lag caused by cloud gaming should be concerning. A global ping limit is needed to make everyone's gameplay better and to reduce the chance of exploiting netcode.

What exactly is your problem with PC players? Battlefield came out on PC 25 years ago. Console players are new to the game. I don't understand what your problem is.

I was kick banned for 72 hours because I reported abuse. AI started off kicking both people, the report-ed and the report-er. They've tweaked it a little bit but as far as I see it is not effective. Now with this newest patch they have this big long EAULA stating they're listening to your voice comms and you need to accept in order to proceed. This gives them permission to record all your voice data and do whatever they want with it. This is supposed to help the voice abuse and it's not and I can say that for sure because last night there's a guy on there MF this and MF that and MFU and your mother and everything else. And it's always the same thing when they get called out they start saying "This is a rated R game! Or this is a rated M game! You don't like it go ef yourself!" And it used to be More acceptable and considered a rated R game when it was only on PC. But now we have Consolers and most of them are under the age to see an R-rated movie or hear this kind of abusive talk. I don't really care for it myself either but if it's not aimed at me sometimes it's funny. Point being, electronic arts artificial intelligence is out of control it is not helping and it's pissing a lot of people off and I'm one of them. I have sent emails to electronic arts and said I purchased this game it's software that I own and when you kick ban my EA account I can't even play it single player and as far as I understand that's illegal if you don't give me a refund. And I'm sure a lawyer would agree.

If everybody started demanding refunds I think they would change their tune. At least when I started threatening with lawyers they got off MY back.

    Think about it.
