Forum Discussion
Hey Mako and thanks for taking the time to answer.
No problem with removing the screenshot, though I do not agree that the sentence I wrote is breaking any rules.
The issue here is that EA is the police and judge and ban without any way of appealing before the sentence (ban) is set in motion.
If I may, I really suggest EA to add the possibility to chat with support to make sure similar cases are not happening in the future or at least will be handled quicker. I paid a lot of money for this game and gaming equipment to be able to play the game. It is therefore a little mindblowing that I could get temporarily banned on a "misunderstanding".
The "funny" part here is that I still haven't received feedback on the cheater I reported :/
Again, thank you for taking the time to answer, I really appreciate it :)
Always happy to clarify Spectos1990!
Whether it broke any in-game rules isn't for me to determine here, but it does violate forum rules as we don't allow cursing here, which is the only reason that was removed. The game's rated M, but players of all ages visit the boards.
Just to shed a bit of light as to the appeal process itself, reviewing account bans or suspensions does involve going back through our logs/records of whatever took place to verify that behavior or activity (or that it didn't warrant an action). They won't simply rely on whatever's included in the case itself.
That does mean the investigation tends to take a bit more time than your normal chat, and it involves various tools and information that really just aren't available to advisors handling the more general account issues - it's a bit more specialized a process to dig into everything.
That's why these are handled a different way than a quick chat for something like updating your email, though that's absolutely not to discount the time you're having to sit there waiting to hear back. Absolutely happy to pass that feedback along as well, thanks for hanging in there!
