I find this recent update to be extremely negative.
Because now BF6 literally comes with something named REDSEC in the bag.
It is disappointing and concerning.

I play Battlefield for its unique mix of teamwork, vehicles, and largescale tactical action. For years I avoided games that rely on flashy cute cosmetics and battleroyale gimmicks, things like Fortnite, COD style chaos, or pink unicorn skins, because that has nothing to do with what makes Battlefield special: clean action and cooperative teamwork.

That’s why this new REDSEC thing is a mistake to me. It should have been launched as its own separate title, not pushed into Battlefield 6. Mixing in forced battle royale style events, especially if we have bad luck with the few challenge re-rolls available, shared progression, or challenges that require playing “silly” modes just isn’t what many of us signed up for when we bought BF6.

Ending of prior statement can be confirmed because this REDSEC thing wasn’t advertised beforehand whatsoever when I purchased the game, it was for Battlefield experience, not a BR spin-off hidden behind addons.

EA and DICE should let Battlefield stay true to its roots. Keep the largescale warfare and teamwork focus, and if they want to experiment with REDSEC or battle-royale concepts, that’s all well and good in itself, just keep it separate. Let players choose the kind of experience they actually paid for, and what was advertised for. (There are different laws for this also.)

Battlefield doesn’t need to copy others .

It already had its own identity, can the identity fall apart now that it has started to copy other concepts?
