Any battlepass no matter the form is there to create fomo, even in helldivers 2
The second you can pay real money for progression of any sort you can bet it’s been carefully designed the create as much fomo as possible.
Which means overall a worse experience because most anything turns into a massive grind if you don’t pay
I never pay a single cent extra in any game and gaming has never felt worse, everything just feels like a mountain so steep you shouldn’t even bother trying to climb it
