Improving the perception of dying behind a corner
Quick disclaimer: I know actually dying behind corners happens for real, and way too much in BF6.
With the death animations, the game currently gives the impression of dying behind corners way more often than actually happens. This is mostly when running or sliding, where the dead body will retain impetus and land further way. Only then does the camera switch and show the outline of who got you.
Note there is something similar when going prone behind cover: if killed during the transition, you still end the animation and only see the death cam from the fully prone position.
One suggestion would be to move the death cam: don't go back to the BF4 death cam and keep the animations (they're actually pretty cool even in 1st person), but then have the viewpoint travel back to where the kill actually happened and then show the red outline. That way, we see the actual respective positions at the time of death.
