Is this game getting worse?

Maybe I didn't notice it as much before, but the dying behind cover, bullets seemingly just not registering and dying when it seems like you just shouldn't is driving me nuts in this game.  Walking up around a corner staircase, guy comes running down face first into the end of my barrel, shoot him in the head whilst his coming out of a sprint and I die. But these types of deaths happen far to often, to the point that the game is becoming less enjoyable.  It's not like I'm poo at the game I have a k/d over 3, I wonder how lower KD's guys feel, I know some firends are finding it really hard going playing this game and they aren't really enjoying because of these type of issues.
