Agreed, PC players should be able to disable crossplay too!

I struggle to think what EA/DICE's rationale is regarding this whole crossplay shenanigan...!
Why can't PC play against PC only, and Consoles against Consoles only?... Why the forced march together...? I'm dumbfounded as to what the driver for this is.

I'm dumbfounded as to what the driver for this is.It is an overall very positive thing that you are able to play with friends even though they are on a different platform than yourself. It is more important to make the game accessible and to have a healthy player base that are able to play the game together.
Splitting the player base into 4 different matchmaking queues is not ideal.- Cross-play on
- Cross-play off PS5
- Cross-play off Xbox
- Cross-play off PC
This split wont be a problem in the beginning, as BF6 will likely have a lot of players the first months after release. However it will affect the health of the game in the long run. I tried turning off cross-play in BF2042, and I was not able to find a match.
If they are not going to allow PC players to turn off cross-play I kind of wish they remove the option to turn off cross-play all together, and rather focus on balancing the inputs as good as they possibly can. It might never be perfect, but it can be good enough that most players will feel that it is fair.
The aim-assist system in BF6 is actually pretty well balanced I think. The huge problem is the reduced recoil for controller players. The recoil affect how the weapons feel, how you build them, and which weapons are viable to you, due to your ability to control them. It directly affect how good a weapon is. With reduced recoil you allow controller players to build the weapons differently and you allow them to prioritize different weapons. This is really bad for the balance, and it is giving the controller players far more advantage then many realizes. This will be even worse in the BR mode where you more often fight with different weapons without preferred attachments to reduce the recoil.
Changing the recoil is just not the way to go to balance the different inputs in my opinion.
