Jump shots. This aint a basketball game!

I saw a YouTube video comparing the accuracy of shooting while jumping in BF6 to previous titles. It's like there is no penalty for shooting while jumping. Almost like it's encouraged. At this point, DICE should just add drain pipes and boxes to break with your head.

Dear DICE, if you're not going to add a jumping penalty on shooting accuracy, could you please add the 'boing' sound when people jump? And make a mode where you have to rescue a princess, too.

  • Not thinking there's any problem with the current jump shot penalty. In fact, on Asian servers, most players are complaining that the penalty is too severe.

The video you mentioned claims that BF6's jump shooting can deliver consistent damage at 25 meters or even further, but that doesn't match reality. In my experience, the effective range for jump-shooting is roughly 8 to 10 meters. When I get killed by an enemy using jump-shooting, I don't see it as an imbalance caused by game mechanics. Instead, I'm impressed by their aiming skills and movement control, and I try to learn from it and improve my own skills.

BF6 has introduced many infantry combat mechanics that are different from previous titles, delivering the smoothest infantry experience the Battlefield series has ever seen. Looking back now, some design choices in BF3 and BF4 are clearly outdated. Games evolve with the times, and players should too.

Ah, you are referring to Swag's YT. Yea, this is why the slide-n-spray-n-jump boys love BF6. Swag did actually show us the spray pattern and BF6 is a nice grouped but vertical spray, older BF the bullets scattered everywhere in a circle.

BF 4 is an evolution of BF 3, BF 2042, and BF 2 -- I liked BF4 the most out of these, gunplay and movement-wise, and it had jump/fall shooting.

BF1, BFV, and BF 2042 are evolutions to their previous titles - each with different quirks and movement - and I loved them with the exception of 2042 which I'm ambivalent about (laserbeam guns, but Mackay/Sundance movement shenanigans are fun).

    Same thing with BF 6.
