Actually the KTS pays its precision at long range with a very high TTK: at 350ms, it gets beat by a bunch of guns at close range. That’s the balance: it’s a pea shooter at close range, average at mid range, especially against other reasonably precise guns, and a killer at long distance with a TTK that’s still bad but is more than compensated by its precision.
These types of guns should exist, there’s a place for them, there’s no issue to be fixed.
If a weapon has exceptional bullet velocity, negligible recoil, extreme consistency, and is being used by nearly everyone, pointing at a single TTK number doesn't automatically prove it's balanced.
Players don't collectively gravitate toward one weapon because it's weak. If the KTS is showing up in nearly every loadout, that's feedback worth paying attention to, regardless of its theoretical close-range performance.
Plus it sounds you like youre a multiplayer only guy. This is referencing towards Ranked REDSEC.
Ah, RedSec I don't know about. Sorry, I did not see your tag, the site does not make them very visible. In multiplayer, KTS are not a very common pick, hence the confusion.
