Ladder for what?

Why do you think 95% of the maps are blocked from using it?

I'm using it just fine on every single map in the game. 

I mean... you're not going to use it all the time. I feel like that's a given. 

The only problem I have is that it feels clunky to sue sometimes. But all ladders do, tbh.

I wish they given it to recon, I could make good use out of that gadget.

Most of Assault gadgets can just be added as underbarrel accessories so why not try adding other gadgets, this was an odd choice. Weapon sling would allow to add other choices but it feels like they had a creative block on this

I don't know why Assault gets the ladder, so many bizarre choices in BF6.  This is either a recon or support gadget.  

Yes, you can use the ladder on all maps, but... Really interesting areas are blocked off, especially on the Cairo, New York, and Gibraltar maps. The guys put so much effort into designing these maps, and at the same time, they deliver horizontal gameplay.

That's a good point. It's not for constant use, nor for accessing any high places or rooftops. But it's a gadget that could add another layer to gameplay. For example, flag C on the Cairo map, with both teams able to use the rooftops, would make combat insane. Flag A on Gibraltar is the same. Why not verticalize combat at specific points?

The large number of players exploiting ladder glitches on maps shows that developers are holding back, limiting both the player experience and the versatility of the maps. They just need to go with the flow and consider what players are looking for in matches and balance resources for both teams.

I see ladders in many matches and help in many cases. They are perfect for assault class.

And in your last point you complain, that they use it to glitch? =/

Not a complain but I like the ladder. Since assault took beacon from recon they could have traded it for the ladder. Assault has gadgets that should be accessories instead to allow for a better selection of gadgets but it felt short if you remove grenade launcher and shotgun options as gadgets and set them for underbarrel. It feels odd 

So you're basically just disappointed that you can't get on the rooftops? In my opinion, the ladder is about much more than getting to the highest vertical point on the map. It's about creating alternative entry points into buildings. It's about finding new and unexpected angles that allow you to surprise the enemy. You just have to be a bit creative.
