Squads used to have 5 and 6 players. So, it was possible to run with larger groups. We would regularly have 2 full squads, since we had 40+ people in our clan. When you run a clan, you have to field a full team for matches so you end up gathering a lot of players together. It can still be fair, because you don't know who's on the other team. They might have a few great players as well. We already see groups of great players. It all works out. And if Battlefield can ever get competitive again, we would start seeing clans roaming the servers again. It would be a good thing if that happened.
EA struggles with the whole ideology of competition, they seem to want the game dumbed down, no one talking about cheaters, no one able to form larger squads or clans. But competition would bring all that to the fore. We would have to be talking about cheaters and talking about specific cheaters. And we would need to be able to field larger groups and maybe even larger squads. Those things are part of competition play. EA is a bit of a soft-touch at the moment.
CooloutAC - Pretty bad call and out of line. Wanting to play with mates doesn't mean he doesn't care about fair play, nothing to do with it. It's up to other players to step up and put in a greater effort if they feel challenged.
