Levolution is great but there must be cover left for infantry on objectives!

The new map is pretty fun but what’s not fun is trying to PTFO and capture an objective only to be picked off from houses and hills surrounding an objective that has literally ZERO cover because all of the cover was destroyed.

In Conquest on the Eastwood map the structures at objectives A and E get totally destroyed. This results in mile long sight lines into the objective which results in players trying to capture the objective being sniped from enemies nowhere near the objective. Even worse, while trying to capture an objective you can be picked off from the enemy HQ area by enemies that are out of bounds to your team but not their team! WTAF guys.  The zone of capture for objective A and E are about 10 yards from the out of bounds zone for the adjacent enemy spawn.

The lack of cover in the objective capture zones is bad enough, but then having objectives that can be dominated from “out of bounds”(only for one team)  areas so close to the objective are HUGE no no’s on any game!

Please add trenches, more rubble from the levolution, and bomb craters along with some physical above ground cover that’s indestructible so attackers have some cover from enemy snipers or tanks that are 200 yards away and so that defenders have to actually PTFO in order to clear objectives.

Also please move the HQ out of bounds line back at least 100 yards from any capture zone so that players that are in the HQ zone and that are out of bounds to the other team can’t defend the objective while being “out of bounds” to the other team! I can’t believe I’m even having to say this.

Having every ounce of cover on an objective being destroyed is bad enough.   Being sniped from afar from inaccessible “out of bounds” areas while trying to capture those objectives… this kills my will to PTFO at those objectives.

  • Unfortunately, I have to say that's exactly what I love about the Eastwood map.

The cardboard houses break, that's just how it is.
And no, I don't play as a sniper.

    Yeah the levolution is great!

That said,  as infantry  we need sufficient rubble, drainage ditches, exposed sewers, vehicle wrecks, and bomb craters in the capture zones so that defenders can’t just sit a mile away and kill anyone that sets foot in the capture area.

Every piece of cover being destroyed on an objective isn’t  encouraging defenders to to PTFO when defenders can defend via setting up on a hill or in one of 20 houses 100 yards away from the objective and kill anyone setting foot in the capture zone.

The lack of cover on about three-quarters of the map is incredibly frustrating for infantry players. In one round, our team was constantly harassed by a tank camping in the enemy base, sniping across the entire map. This experience feels eerily similar to the early months of Battlefield 2042, where maps often had vast open spaces with little to no cover for hundreds of meters.

While the map looks visually impressive and has potential, its current state makes it nearly unplayable for infantry. On the other hand, IF the map is truly designed to emphasize vehicle combat, there simply aren’t enough vehicles to support that playstyle effectively.

This map needs a rework similar to what Blackwell Fields needs—adding significantly more cover to improve balance and playability.
