Massive Surge in Cheaters - What is going on at Javelin?!

I don’t know if anyone else has noticed, but over the past couple of weeks Battlefield 6 has been absolutely flooded with cheaters, especially Redsec. RedSec being free has basically turned into a playground for burner accounts, and I’m watching suspicious players roll around with 4.0+ KDs like it’s nothing. I hit the report button, sure, but honestly… does anything even happen after that?

And let’s not pretend it’s only RedSec. Regular BF mode is getting hit as well. There are six cheat providers currently operating openly, still fully undetected, still pumping out updates.   It feels like the Javelin team got a little too comfy on payroll and forgot that the game only stays alive if you stay on top of these things. I'm not sure if they are working from home, just relaxing. When the cheats are evolving faster than the countermeasures, something is seriously off. If the anti-cheat team doesn’t wake up and start cracking down aggressively, this game is going to lose its core population fast. Nobody wants to grind progression or try to outplay someone walling, snapping, auto-spotting, and lasering you across the map. And people will leave if they feel like the devs don’t care. We all want BF6 to succeed. But right now it feels like we’re watching the foundation rot while everyone responsible is pretending the building is fine. Please, EA & Javelin... step it up. Investigate. Shut these cheat providers down. Why are so many providers undetected as of this date? You are relaxing like VAC and Punkbuster days. EA management, if they are remote, please send them back in the office.

  • Well over 90% of players left already (just look at the Steam charts).

    The game is dead.

  • They should split their Anti-Cheat team in two - one working on hacking the system to cheat, the other working as usual.

The "hacking" half could provide invaluable feedback to the other half about possible exploits, ones they would otherwise never know about otherwise.

At the moment they just try to patch holes, without even knowing where the holes in their system are.

It's called penetration testing and every large, self-respecting company does it or goes broke.

This is why I enjoyed bf6 before the portal nerf. I could just go into my own game and play vs bots without any cheaters maybe invite a few friends in RL that I trust and we can have fun.

Haven't played since the portal nerf.

  • Bro the hackers are getting bad its just like call of duty at this point and its sad because I thought bf6 was different. I started playing this to get away from all the COD hackers. Redsec is unplayable.
